The full name of VRF is Variable Refrigerant Flow, which is translated as "变流量空调系统" in Chinese.
The VRF system is a multi-split air conditioning system that precisely controls indoor temperature by adjusting the refrigerant flow. It consists of one outdoor unit connected to multiple indoor units, and each indoor unit can be independently adjusted to achieve personalized temperature control for different rooms. The VRF system features energy efficiency, flexibility, and high comfort levels, and is widely used in large buildings such as office buildings, hotels, and shopping malls.

The maximum cooling capacity of the main unit of the Midea inverter multi-split air conditioning system can reach 272.4 kW (approximately 88 horsepower), which is achieved by connecting four outdoor units of the MDV8Free series in parallel. The cooling capacity range of each single outdoor unit in this series is 25.2 kW - 68.1 kW. The system can be connected in four units at maximum, with a maximum cooling capacity of 272.4 kW. It is mainly applied in small offices, shops, exhibition halls, clinics, villas and other places.
In addition, the maximum capacity of the MDV7 intelligent cloud multi-split unit is 36HP (approximately 100.8kW), and the maximum capacity of the system is 136HP (approximately 380.8kW). It adopts a self-developed maximum displacement of 96CC compressor and features a wide frequency range of 14-160Hz technology.
The MDVX series multi-split system has a cooling capacity of up to 88 HP (approximately 246.4 kW). It is composed of 2 to 4 outdoor units, with a power range of 25.2 kW to 67 kW. The IPLV(C) energy efficiency can reach up to 7.5.
The MDVS series has a maximum capacity of 32HP (approximately 89.6kW) for a single module. By using 4 multi-unit combinations, it can achieve an industry-leading capacity of 128HP (approximately 358.4kW), with a 55% reduction in floor space.
